    New Gaius Training: Build Your Own Legal AI Application

    A 7-hour funding-eligible programme to move from being an AI user to designing your own legal AI tools.

    April 20, 20264 min read

    Gaius is expanding its catalogue of funding-eligible programmes with a brand-new training course: "Build your own legal AI application", a 7-hour hands-on programme designed for lawyers and in-house counsel who want to move from being users of AI to designing their own tools for their firm or legal department.

    A training course built for action

    Generative AI is now an established part of the legal profession. The question is no longer "should we adopt it?" but "how do we build our own assistants, tailored to our practice, our clients and our methods?". That is precisely the purpose of this new Gaius programme.

    The curriculum covers the full journey, from the most accessible to the most advanced:

    • Designing and deploying a Custom GPT or Claude Project trained on your own templates, clause libraries and internal notes;
    • Architecting a no-code legal AI assistant with platforms such as Lovable, Bubble or n8n;
    • Shipping a secure web application with authentication, database and access control;
    • Mastering GDPR, professional secrecy and ethics requirements specific to deploying an AI tool in a legal environment.

    Target audience and level

    The programme is aimed at lawyers, in-house counsel and legal ops at Practitioner and Expert level, already familiar with ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, who want to take the next step: building rather than consuming.

    No development skills are required. The pedagogical approach is built around real-world use cases: client intake assistant, NDA review automation, case-law monitoring agent, internal GDPR portal, and more.

    Format and funding

    • Duration: 7 hours, live remote sessions
    • Price: €1,159.99 (excl. VAT)
    • Certification: Qualiopi — eligible for French OPCO and FIF PL funding schemes
    • Assessment: initial positioning, practical exercises, final deliverable (a deployed mini-application)
    • Accessibility: dedicated disability officer, adaptations available on request

    The course extends the existing Gaius funding-eligible catalogue (AI for litigation, contracts, legal research, GDPR compliance, law firm management, etc.).

    Why this programme now?

    Three converging factors drove its creation:

    1. The maturity of no-code tools makes it possible to build legal AI applications without writing code, in hours rather than months.
    2. Growing demand from law firms for bespoke tools aligned with their practice areas and quality standards, rather than generic market solutions.
    3. Ethics and competitive stakes: mastering the design of a legal AI tool means keeping control over data, prompts and the quality of outputs.

    Registration and information

    Registration is open on the dedicated page: Build your own legal AI application. The full Qualiopi brochure, detailed syllabus and assessment terms are available directly from the course page.
